About the event
Pack your adventurous spirit and join us for an unforgettable journey to Pinnacles National Park! This is your chance to immerse yourself in the park’s natural beauty, explore its iconic caves, and hike its breathtaking trails.
Due to the difficulty of this hike, this invitation is reserved for participants who have hiked with our group previously. If you haven’t yet, there’s still time to join a hike before this event—let’s get you on the trails! Event Details
Departure Time: Meet at Sycamore Valley Starbucks in Danville at 6:15 AM, departing promptly at 6:30 AM. (or meet us at Pinnacles!)
Hike Start Time: Arrive at Pinnacles by 9:00 AM to hit the trails promptly.
Hike Details: A 7.5-mile loop showcasing the park’s stunning main features, including caves, ridges, and sweeping vistas.
Return: Depart the park by 3:00 PM to beat traffic and ensure a smooth ride home.
What to Bring
Comfortable hiking gear and light layers.
Rain jacket (just in case!).
Headlamp for the caves—trust us, it’s essential!
Snacks, lunch, and plenty of water (hydration is key!).
Dry socks and shoes for after the hike (your feet may get wet in the caves).
Trail Notes
This hike is rated moderate to strenuous due to its length and elevation gain.
Be prepared for some wet terrain in the caves.
Restrooms are available at the trailhead.
Carpooling
Our group is fortunate to have generous members who often volunteer to drive and riders who contribute gas money in return. To help participants connect, a text thread will be created 3 days before the event so you can arrange carpooling directly.
