About the event

Let's head to Sunol for one of the most scenic hikes around—Eagle View Trail at Sunol Wilderness! Think wildflower-covered hills, the shimmer of spring flowers, and big-sky views that’ll make you stop and stare.

This 5.7-mile loop brings a solid challenge with 1,350 ft of elevation gain—this ones geared as a fitness hike with some time to share what’s on your mind, and soak it all in with good company. Please note this hike is mostly open sun, very little shade and very little cell phone coverage. Let's try to get this beautiful hike in one more time before the weather gets too warm. (If it's going to be over 80 we'll switch to something that offers more shade.)

Tip: There's no cell phone coverage at the meeting spot. There are multiple parking lots so pay close attention. There's a large grassy lawn near the Sunol Visitor center. On the far side of the the grassy area are the restrooms and the Shady Glen Trailhead. Let's meet at the fence that is between the restrooms and trailhead. (note: You can see the visitor center, restrooms and trailhead from this spot.)
