About the event
Let’s head to Mount Diablo for a local waterfall hike that’ll have you wondering why you ever looked beyond your own backyard. This 8.5-mile route starts at Mitchell Canyon and winds through oak-dotted trails, rolling hills, and yes—seven waterfalls hidden in plain sight.
We’ll keep a solid 20-minute mile pace—think fitness hike with a view. It’s the perfect training hike if you’ve got Alamere Falls, the Dipsea, or any bigger trails on your bucket list.
You’ll cross a few creeks (some barely more than a hop) and shoes may get a little muddy—nothing crazy, just enough to make it feel like an adventure. Bring dry socks for the ride home and shoes that can handle a splash or two. Hiking poles help with the water crossings.
This one’s for you if you want to feel strong, energized, and reminded that NorCal’s got some serious trail magic—no passport required.
