About the event
Let’s take on one of the most stunning ridge hikes in the East Bay—Las Trampas Ridge from San Ramon to Alamo. Right now it’s absolutely bursting with color…think rolling hills covered in California poppies, pops of purple wildflowers, and sweeping views that just keep going.
This is an 8-mile point-to-point hike with about 1,900 ft of elevation gain, so come ready to move. This one is geared toward our fit crew—it typically takes us around 4 hours, depending on pace. Expect a solid workout, great conversation, and a few moments where you just stop and take it all in.
Please note: this trail is fully exposed with very little shade, and it’s going to be warm—bring plenty of water and come prepared.
🚗 Shuttle Plan (please read!)
We’ll meet at the Hemme Parking Lot (end of the hike) and leave our cars there.
From there, we’ll need a few volunteers to be shuttle drivers to help drive the group to the starting point at Elsworthy Ranch. If you’re willing to help with this, please let me know ahead of time—it makes a big difference!
At the end of the hike, a few kind people will help shuttle those drivers back to their cars.
